Java Jampit Estate
The Jampit Estate is located in the eastern highlands of Java and is one of six large coffee farms owned by the Indonesian government. It is hand-picked by the local community, many of whom live in villages situated within the farm itself.
Grown in well drained volcanic soil at elevations of about 4,000 feet above sea level, Jampit has all the body you expect from an Indonesian coffee. It has subdued bittersweet dark chocolate notes and a hint of spice. The aroma is laced with floral tones, but over and over the word “rich” keeps returning as we more deeply appreciate the incredible body. The very low acidity gives it a long, lingering finish. This is a great coffee to serve with rich desserts.
