This unique coffee from the Malabar coast of India is unmatched in its smoothness, mild finish, and creamy flavour.
The process of "monsooning" coffee began hundreds of years ago when green coffee beans were still being transported in the hulls of ships enroute from India to Europe. Due to the high humidity and gusty sea breezes, the green coffee began to change in appearance and size by the time it reached its destination taking on a pale-yellow hue.
Today the green coffee beans are similarly exposed to the elements for up to four months to produce these highly sought-after beans.
